Prof. Dr. Berthold Rzany ScM

I am Prof. Dr. med. Berthold Rzany, dermatologist and clinical epidemiologist. I was born in Freiburg in Breisgau (Germany). I completed my medical studies at the universities of Freiburg, Harvard and Vienna! My specialist training took place in Freiburg, my training as a clinical epidemiologist (Sc.M.) in Baltimore (USA) at the Johns-Hopkins University. After my habilitation and senior physician work in Mannheim, I was offered a position at the Clinic for Dermatology at the Charité University Medicine in Berlin. There I was head of the Division of Evidence Based Medicine for ten years and then worked for another ten years in a private practice on Kurfürstendamm in Berlin. My spectrum includes classic and aesthetic dermatology, especially wrinkle treatment with various methods. As a scientist, I am always interested in the evidence, i.e. the secured knowledge behind the treatments that I offer. As an art enthusiast and collector, I try to incorporate artistic aspects into the treatment of my patients.

I have been working at the Medical Center ‘Medizin am Hauptbahnhof’ at the main train station in Vienna since January 2022. I experienced important years which shaped me in this wonderful city, and I am happy that I returned here.
