Dr. Nikolas Bounas-Pyrros

After graduating from the German school in Athens, I completed my medical studies at the Technical University of Munich, so that in addition to my native language Greek I also speak German at a native level. Of course, I am also fluent in English.
I wrote my doctoral thesis on the topic "Establishment and validation of a new flow cytometric method for the detection of Borrelia antibodies". I completed my specialist training in the university clinics in Munich and Augsburg as well as in renowned practices in Munich. I received my designation as a specialist in skin and venereal diseases in 2020 from the Bavarian State Medical Association and subsequently also received the additional qualification in allergology.
I have been living in beautiful Austria since March 2022 and work as a senior physician in the dermatological department at the Wiener Neustadt State Hospital and I also work as a lecturer for various dermatological topics in Germany and Austria. I work at 'Medizin am Hauptbahnhof' in Vienna two days a week and strengthen the dermatological team.
My focus areas include the diagnosis and therapy of allergic diseases, the treatment of chronic inflammatory dermatoses using the latest methods, and laser therapy procedures. Skin cancer prevention is very important to me, and I am an experienced surgeon for dermatological surgical interventions.
