Dr. Florian Bodner, M.Sc. DermPrevOncol, FEBDV

Dermatologist

After my studies at the Medical University of Vienna, I first completed my training as a general practitioner at various Lower Austrian clinics. I then worked as an emergency doctor at the Red Cross and as an assistant doctor for general surgery at Korneuburg Hospital.

I completed my training as a specialist in skin and venereal diseases at Wiener Neustadt State Hospital. This time was enriched by an observership for dermatohistopathology at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts, USA, an internship for reflected light microscopy at the University Hospital Graz and a training rotation at the outpatient clinic for sexually transmitted diseases and HIV at the Vienna General Hospital (AKH). I also completed a multi-year part-time master’s degree in dermatoscopy and preventive oncology at the Medical University of Graz. In 2022, I also received a grant from the Austrian Working Group for Pediatric Dermatology for my planned internship at a German center specializing in pediatric dermatology. The training to become a neurodermatitis trainer is planned for 2023.
Since 2022, as a specialist in dermatology and venereology, I have been supporting the team in the skin department of the Donaustadt Clinic in Vienna. Since the beginning of 2023 I have also been working at 'Medizin am Hauptbahnhof' in Vienna.

My treatment repertoire includes general dermatological concerns of children and adults as well as the therapy of psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, and other inflammatory skin diseases. I am also happy to advise and treat you on aesthetic issues with laser, peelings, and injectables. My explicit focus is on early detection and aftercare of melanoma and white skin cancer as well as the diagnosis of other benign and inflammatory skin and hair diseases using reflected light microscopy and about sexual health (diagnosis and treatment of venereal diseases, HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis).

It is important to me to convey trust, security and appreciation to you, and I look forward to your concerns and our joint treatment results.
