Dr. Stephanie Geisler

My passion lies in medicine. During my time as a student, I placed great importance on gaining experience both domestically and internationally. I spent my internships in Switzerland (Zurich & St. Gallen), Germany (Hamburg), Israel (Ramla), Australia (Sydney), and Vietnam (Hue). During these internships, I was able to refine my medical knowledge, learn about new treatment approaches, and apply my strong interest in intercultural exchange. Through these experiences, it became clear to me that dermatology is the field of my choice.

My specialist training began at Dermatologikum in Hamburg. I gained practical experience in vascular surgery at Viennese hospitals in Ottakring, Hietzing, and Floridsdorf. I have a passion for delicate and medically demanding surgeries. I acquired the necessary knowledge for this preference during my training. The last years of my specialist training were spent at the Department of Dermatology at the Medical University of Vienna (AKH), where I specialized as part of the surgical team in dermatologic surgery. Other important areas of dermatology include skin cancer screening, dermatologic oncology, and chronic inflammatory skin diseases. In various specialized outpatient clinics at AKH, I expanded my knowledge of psoriasis, acne, and rosacea.

Scientific work and being familiar with the latest research methods and findings are important to me and were a significant aspect of my work at the University Hospital. This foundation as well as the gained methodological approaches allow me to always align my future work as a dermatologist with the latest medical knowledge.

Laser medicine, an important part of my work at 'Medizin am Hauptbahnhof', also brings me great joy. To further solidify my expertise, I am completing an advanced training program in "Differentiated Aesthetic Laser and Plasma Medicine (DALM)" at the University Medicine Greifswald.

The skin is a reflection of our overall health. Therefore, it is important to me to consider my patients holistically and to treat both dermatological and possible underlying conditions. At the same time, I recognize the skin as an aesthetic organ that should be appropriately cared for.

I am delighted to join the dermatological team at 'Medizin am Hauptbahnhof' as a specialist in dermatology since February 2024 and to contribute my broad knowledge and skills. My goal is to address your dermatological concerns in a medically sound, holistic, and empathetic manner. Together with the team at 'Medizin am Hauptbahnhof', I aim to make a sustainable contribution to your health and quality of life.
